Requena Brilliant, Blanks Knights Saturday, August 7th , 2049 Ruben Requena handcuffed the Charlotte Knights at BB&T Stadium today, coming away with a 2-hit, complete game shutout. "I had everything working for me out there," the Rochester Red Wings right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted." With his stuff working, Requena had little trouble with the Knights and led the Red Wings to victory, 9-0. He recorded 3 strikeouts and 2 walks in an impressive performance. Requena has posted a 9-8 record for the year with a 3.52 ERA. Teams are hitting .252 against him and he has rung up 127 strikeouts in 153.1 innings. |
