Goldeyes on to Quarter-Finals Saturday, October 20th , 2046 The Winnipeg Goldeyes are one step closer to winning a World Series, and the season came to a close for the Hamilton Cardinals. Winnipeg won the Round 1 4-2, with a 9-4 victory in the deciding game at Winnipeg International Baseball & Gold Complex today. Winnipeg third baseman Caleb Bockmann was named the MVP of the series, after hitting .393 with a .414 on-base percentage. He had 2 homers, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs. "I just hope I can keep it up in the Quarter-Finals," he said. The Quarter-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
