Colorado Win Round 1 Saturday, October 20th , 2046 After eliminating the Calgary Flames 7-4 in the Round 1 at Denver Stadium, the victorious Colorado Avalanche will now move on to the next round: the Quarter-Finals. Colorado beat Calgary 4-1 in the series. The MVP trophy was awarded to Avalanche catcher Chris Besselman, who knocked in 9 runs, hit .500 and scored 4 times. "The guys were all chanting 'M-V-P' when I went into the clubhouse," Besselman said later, with a smile. "It was kind of embarrassing but it feels great to be here." The Quarter-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
