Mendoza Red-Hot, EL Player of the Week Monday, October 8th , 2046 Jonathan Mendoza is respected by most Southern Maryland Blue Crabs fans for his no-frills style of play. The 20-year-old right fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Eastern League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .609 average (14-for-23) with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and 11 runs scored. This year Mendoza is batting .345 with 44 home runs. He has scored 108 runs and driven in 121. |
