Barker Fires Shutout in Southern Maryland Victory Thursday, September 27th , 2046 An efficient outing for Olaf Barker usually means a win for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and today was no exception. The 19-year-old right-hander held the Paris Cubs to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 11 and gave up 2 hits in the 12-0 shutout. "Olaf really got it done out there today," said Southern Maryland manager Edwin Gomez. This year Barker has compiled a 12-5 mark with a 3.55 ERA in 25 starts. |
