Thomason Tames Cubs 3-2, 16 Ks Monday, September 24th , 2046 London Majors starter Jon Thomason brought his best stuff to Labatt Park today against the Paris Cubs, striking out 16 batters in his club's 3-2 victory. In a strong performance, the 17-year-old Thomason gave up 1 hit in his 8 innings of work and issued 1 walk. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my fastball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." This season Thomason has picked up no saves and posted a 13-5 record with a 4.04 ERA. He has no relief appearances, tossed 151.2 innings and struck out 216. |
