|
The Palm Beach Nationals downed the Miami Beach Marlins, 8-4, at Miami Beach Stadium. Xavier Pittman led the way, going 1-for-4 for Palm Beach. The win puts the Nationals at 61-74, while the Marlins drop to 84-51.
Pittman contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam. It was one at-bat among others that helped Palm Beach get the win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Pittman. "And not try to do too much."
