Paris left-hander Dan Wright was in fine form, shutting out the London Majors, 1-0. The Cubs are now 53-77, while the Majors fall to 66-61.

In the bottom of the ninth, Marty Wiedmann had a big run-scoring single off Alberto Piedra. With the single, the Paris first baseman put his team in front, 1-0. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles in the contest.
