New Jersey Wins Round 1 Saturday, October 22nd , 2050 The Round 1 went the distance before it all was said and done. The New Jersey Devils and the Windy City ThunderBolts went at it tooth-and-nail and when it was over at ThunderBolts Center, the winner was the Devils. They put away Windy City 4-2 to cinch the series and won the right to move onto the Quarter-Finals. For his fine play, even in a losing effort, Windy City catcher Bellchior Osuna was given the series Most Valuable Player Award. He hit .375, scored 5 runs and batted in 4 to win the honor. "It's nice that someone noticed my numbers, but I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a win," he said. The Quarter-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
