					| | Aigles End Munoz's Streak Tuesday, August 9th , 2050
The Trois-Riveres Aigles got more than the 5-3 victory at Mike Ilitch Memorial Field today -- they also put an end to the 22-game hitting streak of Detroit Red Wings left fielder Sandy Munoz by holding him without a hit in 3 at-bats.

After the game, Munoz seemed more concerned with his team taking the loss than with the demise of his streak.

"I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit," he said. "I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today."

Currently Munoz is batting .475 with 25 home runs and 54 RBIs.
