Sugimoto Deals Braves 5-0 Shutout Wednesday, June 29th , 2050 Amarillo ThunderHeads hurler Tatsuaki Sugimoto was at his best as he beat the Americus Braves, 5-0. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said Americus manager Josh Lofgreen. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit." Sugimoto fired a 2-hitter and totaled 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout performance. For the year Sugimoto has compiled a 6-3 record with a 1.99 ERA. |
