Evenson Tosses Shutout Against Bulldogs Saturday, December 31st , 2050 Ray Evenson shut down the Fresno State University Bulldogs today, blanking them 4-0 on 3 hits, ringing up 7 strikeouts and allowing no walks. The University of Toronto Marlies pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Evenson said after the game. "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." To date this year, he has registered 1 save, 4 wins and no losses with a 4.77 ERA. Evenson has made 33 relief appearances, worked a total of 60.1 innings and surrendered 64 hits. He has fanned 41, issued 33 free passes and held opposing clubs to a .276 batting average. |
