Bad News for Quinones and Detroit Saturday, October 22nd , 2050 Yesterday Detroit center fielder Victor Quinones sustained a setback in his recovery from torn ankle ligaments. The Tigers medical staff told him it would be at least 3-4 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Quinones told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Quinones worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal. Posting a .254 batting average to date, Quinones has 9 home runs and 27 RBIs. |
