					| | 2049 Best Player Selected In A Friday, March 4th , 2050
At the age of 24, Jose Balderrama of the San Diego (WIN) Padres could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2049 was good enough to win the second baseman the Division A Most Valuable Player Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .362 batting average this year, as well as a .422 on-base percentage. He played 27 games and racked up 38 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 9 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored.

He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 30. Matt Moffat of the Cincinnati (WIN) Reds finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Jason St. Clair of the Cincinnati (WIN) Reds finished third with 6 first place votes.
