Tigers Win Wildcards Series Thursday, November 3rd , 2050 The joy and relief on the faces of the Detroit (APP) Tigers players was obvious as they celebrated their Wildcards Series win over the Princeton Rays. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Detroit (APP) catcher Rick Brinkmann, shortly after the 7-6 win that clinched the series 4-3. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the Division Series . Brinkmann won series MVP honors on the strength of his .318 batting average during the series. He also had a .348 on-base percentage and 3 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcards Series finishes. |
