Mariners Cruise to Division Series with Sweep Sunday, October 30th , 2050 It's a sweet sweep for the Seattle (APP) Mariners and they have won the Wildcards Series. The Cleveland (APP) Indians were not able to keep pace with the Mariners and dropped the series in short order, losing 10-1 in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Cleveland (APP) manager Joey Duff. It's now on to the Division Series for Seattle (APP) after their 4-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was left fielder John Rumbolt, who was named MVP. For the series, Rumbolt hit .375 with a .474 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcards Series finishes. |
