Nomoto Batters San Diego (APP) Big Time Saturday, October 22nd , 2050 It was a good day for the Raptors at Lindquist Field as they clipped the San Diego (APP) Padres, 9-8. It was tremendous day for Shiki Nomoto, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-7. "I don't know what to call that," the Ogden second baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Shiki Nomoto singled in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, struck out in the 9th, singled in the 11th and tripled in the 13th. This year Nomoto is batting .441 with 34 home runs. He has scored 125 runs and driven in 121. |
