Crosscutters Buried - Out of Playoffs Wednesday, August 31st , 2050 Did anyone think the Williamsport Crosscutters had a chance at the postseason this year? It was already quite unlikely, and now even the smallest hopes have been dashed -- the team was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. The Crosscutters have missed the playoffs 18 times in their 35 years as a New York-Penn League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2048. In the last 10 seasons, the Crosscutters have made the playoffs 3 times. |
