NYP Player of the Week Named Monday, August 22nd , 2050 One of the league's most exciting young players, Jose Argueta of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers earned himself McNamara Division Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 23-year-old second baseman had a lofty .733 average (11-for-15), collecting no home runs, 2 RBIs and 4 runs scored. In 77 games this season Argueta has compiled a .353 batting average with 91 hits and 3 home runs. He has also scored 55 times and knocked in 39 runs. |
