McKinstry Sizzles, Brooklyn Fizzles Sunday, August 21st , 2050 Alex McKinstry pitched a strong game at MCU Park today, blanking the Brooklyn Cyclones 10-0. McKinstry allowed no runs on 6 hits, totaled 3 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk. Boise manager Kerry Tuckfard said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for McKinstry. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Tuckfard said. "He threw a lot of strikes." So far this year McKinstry has made 12 starts, tossed 63.2 innings, struck out 38 batters and walked 27. His record is 4-5 with a 3.11 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .248 batting average. |
