Ward Torches Emeralds for 5 Hits Saturday, August 13th , 2050 The Boise Hawks upended the Eugene Emeralds at PK Park today, thanks in large part to first baseman Ryan Ward, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Hawks to a 11-2 victory. Ryan Ward struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Reginald Bamber in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Francisco Landin in the 8th and tripled in the 9th. Ward has a .304 average and a .357 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 52 hits, 2 home runs and driven in 16 runs. |
