Youngquist Wins NL Top Pitcher Award Thursday, September 1st , 2050 Cory Youngquist of Kane County had a tremendous August with a 4-0 mark and was chosen the Pitcher of the Month in the National League. Youngquist restricted opposing hitters to 28 base hits and a .173 batting average. He rang up 49 strikeouts in 44.2 innings of work, surrendered 3 walks, and crafted a 1.21 ERA. His record this season is 15-4 in 27 starts and Youngquist has a 2.66 ERA. |
