Biscuits Cruise to Division Championship with Sweep Thursday, September 29th , 2050 Ben Saxton said he expected the Wildcard Series to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Montgomery Biscuits encountered little resistance in sweeping the Midland RockHounds, to advance to the Division Championship. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Saxton. Montgomery won the final game by a 5-3 count and were led in the series by Saxton, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .556 with 0 home runs. He also drove in 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Division Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
