Bright Skunks Red Sox Friday, September 23rd , 2050 Rochester hurler Brian Bright put on quite a show today as he blitzed the Pawtucket Red Sox with a 2-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 5 hits with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk to pick up the win. "I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," Pawtucket manager Gary Sanchez told reporters after the game. Crunching the numbers on Bright for the year, he has made 11 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 6-8 won-lost mark and 3.47 ERA. In pitching 111.2 innings, he has totaled 85 strikeouts and 37 walks. |
