Plesz Shuts Out River Cats Monday, September 12th , 2050 It wasn't easy but Travis Plesz made it look that way. Plesz silenced the Sacramento River Cats, 5-0, in a Memphis Redbirds triumph at Raley Field today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Plesz said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 3 walks and 2 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." Thus far this season Plesz has posted a 12-5 record, started 24 games, struck out 105 batters in 159.1 innings and compiled a 2.82 ERA. |
