Aces Jeff Whaley Injured: Day-to-Day Tuesday, August 23rd , 2050 Reports out of Reno indicate that Jeff Whaley, the gifted starting pitcher, might be sidelined for one week or so with a sprained ankle. The 25-year-old star suffered the injury in yesterday's Bats-Aces game while throwing a pitch. "It's a game time decision," noted the team doctor, "It all depends on how Jeff feels later today. If he can play, he will." For the year Whaley has a 3-3 record with a 4.63 ERA in 11 starts. |
