AL Player of the Week Selected Monday, August 1st , 2050 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Mike Conaway, the Tacoma Rainiers 25-year-old left fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for American League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 10 hits in 24 at-bats, compiling a .417 average with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. On the year Conaway has hit .313 with 10 home runs, 37 RBIs and scored 41 runs. |
