Skingle Too Tough, Blanks Columbus Wednesday, June 1st , 2050 It wasn't easy but Harrison Skingle made it look that way. Skingle silenced the Columbus Clippers, 1-0, in a Charlotte Knights triumph at BB&T Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Skingle said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 4 walks and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." On the season Skingle has a 3-3 record with a 3.06 ERA. |
