After leading the Florida State University Seminoles to victory, 4-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, Cory Pennington didn't have the answer. "I don't know," Pennington said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both." On his big day at U.S. Bank Stadium , Pennington fanned 11 and had 2 walks. And it seemed that when the Golden Gophers managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender. "That's how you get a no-hitter," Pennington said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck." To date this year in 27 starts, Pennington has crafted a 11-6 mark with a 1.25 ERA. |
