Thomas Booms 3 Homers Monday, August 30th , 2049 Windy City ThunderBolts second baseman Joe Thomas left the Chester pitching staff in ruins at Chester Ballpark today, beating the Pirates 15-6 with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Thomas told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Windy City second baseman had 5 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 7 and scored 5 runs. Joe Thomas hit a two-run home run off Shi-yu Man in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Shi-yu Man in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Yong-taek Hoang in the 9th. This season Thomas has hit at a .204 clip with 49 RBIs, 20 home runs and 47 runs scored. He has played in 93 games. |
