Heat, Gillberry Silence Victoria, 4-0 Thursday, August 19th , 2049 It wasn't easy but Bill Gillberry made it look that way. Gillberry silenced the Victoria Capitals, 4-0, in a Kelowna Heat triumph at Andrew Wray Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Gillberry said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 2 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." On the season Gillberry has 6 wins and 6 losses and a 3.71 ERA. |
