Star of the Week Picked in DIV I Monday, January 11th , 2049 18-year-old Joe Petley sent shock waves through Evolution last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Dvision 1 Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Petley made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .500 average, 5 hits in 10 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 runs batted in. Where the Stanford University Cardinal third baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Petley certainly made his mark last week. So far this year Petley has 23 home runs and a .264 batting average. |
