Ariza Bangs 3 HR Against Pennsylvania State University Thursday, December 16th , 2049 Fans are still buzzing after Washington State University whipped the Pennsylvania State University Nittany Lions by the score of 8-0 today at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Israel Ariza smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the first baseman bashed out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Ariza said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Ariza said. "Three is just... wow." Israel Ariza hit a solo-shot off Chih Li in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chih Li in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Melvin Nambo in the 6th and walked in the 8th. This year Ariza is batting .335 with 24 home runs. |
