Player of the Week Trophy to Kleinjan Monday, December 13th , 2049 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Donny Kleinjan, the Stanford University Cardinal 19-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Dvision 1 Player of the Week honors. He ripped 12 hits in 23 at-bats, compiling a .522 average with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs. So far this season Kleinjan is hitting .313 with 17 home runs, 59 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 114 hits in 364 at-bats and a .379 OBP. |
