Marlies Lead with Chin, Get KO'd, 12-0 Friday, November 26th , 2049 Today was Cahya Sumual's turn in the rotation for the Rice University Owls and he made the most of it, shutting out the University of Toronto Marlies on 8 hits. The 19-year-old right-hander led the Owls to an easy 12-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 4 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," University of Toronto manager Sal Munoz said. "Sumual certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds." To date this season Sumual sports a 8-4 mark with a 2.31 ERA in 18 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .244 batting average and has 81 strikeouts in 105.1 innings. |
