Big Swap in MLB: Cruz for Lazcano Friday, December 10th , 2049 Players on both teams seemed a bit stunned as they cleaned out lockers this afternoon. They had just learned that the Toronto and Cincinnati had just concluded a blockbuster trade. 21-year old minor league 2B Jorge Cruz, 24-year old minor league RF Bill Murray, 23-year old minor league C Bobby Lasaguna, and 18-year old minor league LF David Santana went to Reds and 28-year old 3B Willie Lazcano to the Blue Jays. One of the players told reporters, "Baseball's a business. I know that. That doesn't make the jolt of being traded any less painful." Lifetime Lazcano is hitting .256 and has totaled 111 home runs. |
