Angels Cruise to Division Series with Sweep Thursday, October 7th , 2049 After their 8-7 win today over the Kansas City Royals, the California Angels will advance to the Division Series. Despite coming out on the losing side, the series MVP award went to Kansas City shortstop Jose Pacheco. Pacheco told a reporter from the Kansas City News that he was disappointed in the loss, and hopes to be back next year competing for the World Series California won the series 2-0. The California Angels will play against the Chicago White Sox in the next round. Chicago had a bye in the Wildcard Series.
