San Diego (WIN) Advances to Divisional Series Friday, January 22nd , 2049 The Round 1 went the distance before it all was said and done. The San Diego (WIN) Padres and the Texas (WIN) Rangers went at it tooth-and-nail and when it was over at Peoria Sports Complex, the winner was the Padres. They put away Texas (WIN) 6-1 to cinch the series and won the right to move onto the Divisional Series. For his fine play, even in a losing effort, Texas (WIN) right fielder Adryão Anto was given the series Most Valuable Player Award. He hit .333, scored 2 runs and batted in 4 to win the honor. "It's nice that someone noticed my numbers, but I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a win," he said. The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
