Roe Sparkles in 7-0 Shutout Sunday, December 20th , 2048 John Roe hurled a fine game for the St. Louis (WIN) Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium today, holding the Baltimore (WIN) Orioles to 6 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," St. Louis (WIN) manager Chris Owings said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The left-hander had 11 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 7-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Baltimore (WIN) manager Jake Scudder said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game." |
