Froio Strokes 5 Hits Friday, October 1st , 2049 Gustavo Froio did more than his part as the Billings Mustangs topped the Chicago (APP) Cubs today at Baseball City Complex. The Mustangs third baseman pounded out 5 hits to pace his team to a 30-3 thumping of the Cubs. Gustavo Froio struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Man-keung Li in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Man-keung Li in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Masato Iwase in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 8th. For the season Froio has produced 118 hits in 446 at-bats for a .265 average with 26 home runs and gotten on base at a .397 clip. |
