White Cruises to Shutout Saturday, June 19th , 2049 Spokane Indians pitcher Derek White really got it done at Avista Stadium today in his 5-0 shutout victory over the Vermont Lake Monsters, shutting them down on 2 hits. "It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," White said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them." The 28-year-old issued 1 walk and had 13 strikeouts in the Indians win. White has posted a 9-1 record for the year with a 1.66 ERA.
