Indians Cruise to Conference Championship with Sweep Thursday, October 14th , 2049 With a 3-1 victory at Eastwood Field, the Spokane Indians have completed a sweep of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in the Divisional Championship. "On to the Conference Championship and feeling good," said Lee Gerken. "I don't think our guys expected a sweep, but we'll certainly take it and rest up a bit." For the series, Gerken hit .375 and won series MVP honors. He had 2 home runs, drove in 11 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Championship finishes. |
