Tucker Twirls 8-0 Shutout for Spinners Thursday, September 23rd , 2049 Lowell Spinners hurler Tim Tucker was at his best as he whitewashed the Staten Island Yankees 8-0 today. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said Staten Island manager Ian Beeching. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit." Tucker fired a 3-hitter and totaled 12 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout performance. This year Tucker has fanned 189 in 186.2 innings and collected a 13-11 record with a 2.41 ERA. |
