In a strong performance, the 37-year-old Yoshida gave up 3 hits in his 8 innings of work and issued no walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my changeup was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." This year in 29 starts, Yoshida has recorded 17 wins and absorbed 5 losses.
