Mahoning Valley Blanks Tri-City, 7-0 Tuesday, August 24th , 2049 Jeff Degel of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers toyed with the Tri-City ValleyCats today, blanking them 7-0 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 4-hit shutout with 7 strikeouts and 4 walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Degel said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." To date this year in 25 starts, Degel has crafted a 15-6 mark with a 3.59 ERA. |
