Mohanty Wins NL Prize, Named Best Hitter in May Tuesday, June 1st , 2049 Even though he is a newcomer to Midwest League, Jaivata Mohanty put up some good numbers in May and earned the NL Batter of the Month award. He was one of Dayton's offensive leaders with a .342 average in 23 games. He also racked up 6 home runs, 20 RBIs, and 17 runs scored. This season Mohanty is batting at a .288 clip with 6 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
