Peoria Moves on to Division Championship Friday, October 8th , 2049 The Peoria Chiefs and Kane County Cougars put on a classic Wildcard Series that was in question until the final game. In the end, Peoria won the deciding contest by a score of 2-1, to take the series 4-3. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Chris Rouleau, who earned series MVP honors for Peoria. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Rouleau hit .370 with a .393 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Division Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
