Injury Derails Season for Maetzold Tuesday, December 21st , 2049 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Frederick's J.J. Maetzold to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 12/19/2049 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Maetzold said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Maetzold has been out of action since he suffered a torn rotator cuff. To date he has nailed down 1 saves for his club. In 6 relief appearances, Maetzold has 10 strikeouts in 6.1 innings with a 2.84 ERA and a 0-2 mark. |
