New Hampshire Downs Jackson as Walker Tosses 10-0 Shutout Sunday, August 8th , 2049 It wasn't easy but the New Hampshire Fisher Cats made it look that way. Starter Danny Walker shut out the Jackson Generals despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats cruised to victory, 10-0. Walker allowed only 5 hits and rang up 6 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." Currently Walker has a record of 3-0 with 35 strikeouts and 6 walks in 43.2 innings and a 2.06 ERA. |
