Omoto Tosses Shutout Against Naturals Thursday, July 29th , 2049 Hideharu Omoto had the Northwest Arkansas Naturals dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 8-0 shutout performance for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. He gave up 2 hits, issued 1 walk and had 6 strikeouts. Northwest Arkansas hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery. "When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point," opposing manager Meringue Pye said. "We just never figured him out." So far this year Omoto has compiled a 12-4 record with a 2.17 ERA. |
